11N hustles west through Sinking Spring on the Harrisburg Line on a hot afternoon.

In someone's backyard this EB intermodal is heeling into the superelevated curve at a high spot on this hill-and-dale line.

The leaves are leaving and the weakening sun flames on the horizon as the oddly numbered westbound freight tops another rise approaching the end of their crew day at Bristol.

Eastbound freight clattering across the switches and passing a former BNSF SD40-2. After the next train passes the 3495 will hotfoot it to Pulaski light under a work train number.

EB mixed freight. We didn't get many of these down here so I probably went bonkers when this little beauty appeared, easing into the siding where the switch used to be. Wouldn't that white stuff... (more)

Train #112 was an eastbound train but on this route segment it is running west on a nice fall day.

After my previous posting the locomotive stayed in our area for a while and here is a photo of it idling the day away.

I posted the helpers first. Here is the front of that train I uploaded earlier. Back in the coal days. Back when there were locomotive on the roster not numbered in the 4000s, LOL.

A GP38-2 is on the point and there are helpers in the middle with these guys kicked back and rattling along in Run 8 all the way to Big Cut and the top of the grade. Back in the coal days.

Westbound local has finished its work and is racing home to Bristol in one of many small towns along the line. Nowadays it's six axle power.
