As part of Santa Clara River Valley Railroad Historical Society's Railfest 2007, the public enjoyed speeder rides on the Fillmore & Western between regular trains. A friend's reaction seeing this picture was, "Looks like the World's flattest roller coaster." The track is the Southern Pacific main line between San Francisco and Los Angeles, later the Santa Paula Branch, now Fillmore & Western's lightly used line for dinner trains and movie shoots. The "Section Cars" that made up the Speeder ride appear to be a variation of Fairmont Railway Motorcar S2s.
