The Delta Turn has just arrived from Flat Rock and sits atop the seven-mile-long "hill" Henry Ford had built to avoid crossing the Vanderbilts' line at grade (see picture 212631). The track in the left foreground goes down to a yard for interchange to Conrail or N&W (ex-Wabash).
My favorite railroad when I was young and even today. When I was growing up I can remember seeing these big orange beasts lumbering around the Jackson shops and yard.
