A rare view of the Alaska Railroad's Hurricane Turn, America's last scheduled flag stop passenger train, is afforded from the catwalk of the 298ft high Hurricane Gulch Bridge. The train was operating this day with RDC-2's 701, 711, and a GP38-2.
I've been fortunate to have spent quite some time in the "Great White North" photographing trains on the super-scenic, and always friendly, Alaska Railroad. Here's a collection of some of my favorite shots from our 49th state.
