Southbound local accelerating away from 75th St. (Grand Crossing) Station. The farther four tracks are electrified; the outer two of which are the express tracks. The closest tracks are non-electrified for the Panama Limited, City of New Orleans, and the like. It was Easter vacation from college.
Several Chicago railroads, including Burlington, Chicago & Northwestern, Illinois Central, Milwaukee Road and Rock Island, provided extensive service to and from the Chicago suburbs.
