Looking back to this day after Christmas, my notes show this as 1 of 2 trains photographed in 12 hours. Cold, wet, really hung-over and more than 3 hours away from a cushy leather couch, I remember taking this shot and being disappointed at yet another fog filled backlit image. Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
