Santa Clara River Valley Railroad Historical Society's Railfest 2005 was held even though the skies opened up with a downpour. The railroad put a lot of equipment on display between the Southern Pacific's old wood frame depot and the town's large city hall. S6 #1059 may have worked this line back when it was still Southern Pacific's Santa Paula Branch, as the end-cab ALCO was originally SP #1059, delivered in July of 1956. Renumbered to #1226, it was sold to the Ventura Country Railroad, where it became #9, and worked not too far from here between Oxnard and Port Hueneme.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
