Lunch in style! As a Thank You to the operating department for a successful year and a lot of hard work on everyone's part to improve the railroad's performance, the ARR had an all day catered lunch. Unlike every other railroad that would have just had the catering set up in the trainmen's break room the ARR hauled over three dinning cars and an SD70MAC for HEP and set them up in the parking lot across from the yard office. The "lunch train" is seen parked on the new TOFC Ramp team track. But, that's not all. Rather than make all the mechanical department employees drive their own vehicles over during their lunch break the railroad used another MAC and a coach to transport everyone all at once. The "lunch shuttle" can be seen to the left parked on the Van track. Truly a first class way to say thanks and celebrate the holidays!
And, as a side note, this is my 100th picture that has been accepted to the RPN database since my first one just shy of 9 months ago! Thanks to the scrutiny of the RPN screeners I think I've really improved my photography skills.
