Byron and John Gramling's well-traveled tank engine, former Flagg Coal 75, visited the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum for Steam Days in May 2009. This event marked the first operation of a standard gauge steam locomotive in Alabama since December 1994, when NS killed the steam program and sent N&W 611 back to Roanoke. The Heart of Dixie operates excursions on a restored stretch of the former L&N Mineral Belt.
