Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific 844 leads the Western Heritage Tour eastbound along the red sandstone cliffs of Echo, Utah. UP's high stepping 4-8-4 made easy work of the Echo Canyon grade to the summit at Wahsatch. This photo was one of the rare instances where one would just as soon NOT have a spectacular plume of black smoke which would more than likely hide the beautiful landscape.
