The railroad keeps moving even in the worst of weather. A large blizzard has just finally passed the area after dumping over a foot of snow the night before. Two Soo Line GP38-2s bring the local back west towards St. Paul after waiting for a late Amtrak Empire Builder to clear the Red Wing depot and the main as it continued it's way to Chicago on this cold, windy, and snowy night.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
