The line from Gilman, IL, to Springfield, IL, is protected by ABS signals. Here near the middle of the line is a pair of ABS signals on the west side of Clinton. Fog from the warm temperatures melting the snow has set in for the night. It's a clear signal for westbound trains, but approach for the diamond for eastbounds.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
