Milwaukee Road power at the roundhouse in La Crosse. The group consists of 5701,2007, the geep to the right is 293 and the SW to the left is 861. The buildings were crumbling and the service tracks looked like something from an over zealous modeler, but somehow units were able to pick there way over it all and get back out on the main when the call came. The Milwaukee would soon get much smaller, with the abandonment of the Pacific extension and most of these units would no longer be needed. The 5701 was one of only four U33C's on the Milwaukee. I'm sure today the EPA would have a field day with the standing oil.
