The engineer of Job 107, the Illinois Railway's road freight between Ottawa and Eola, Illinois, flashes the peace sign as he slowly rolls 53 sand empties across the Fox River bridge on Mothers Day, May 9, 2010, heading home for Ottawa.
The job operates on a former Burlington Northern secondary line to Montgomery, where the branch crosses the Fox River and ties into the mainline of the BNSF's Mendota Sub. The Illinois Railway job runs Montgomery to Eola on the BNSF where it makes interchange in the large yards there. Omnitrax has assigned the two Hudson Bay Railway SD50's to the job for several months.
