Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner trains are celebrating their tenth anniversary in 2010, and to commemorate the event, Amtrak F59PHI 457 was painted in a special scheme. On May 25th, 2010, the 457 is on the point of train #578 (Los Angeles to San Diego), seen here descending Rose Canyon in northern San Diego, California.
Stretching from San Luis Obispo to San Diego, the Surf Line has become Amtrak's second busiest route. See the Pacific Surfliner and San Diegan in action along with trains from predecessors Santa Fe and Southern Pacific.
