CSRX GP35 #216 arrives at Crawford's with the Conway Scenic's "Notch Train." It's been almost 27 years since a gold, Maine-Central-schemed locomotive has traversed this line, but with the Conway Scenic's acquisition of this former N&W GP35 (along with former MEC GP38-2 #252), that time has come to an end. Though the Conway Scenic had these units painted in "Bahama Gold" instead of "Harvest Gold," the resemblance is close enough, especially on overcast days such as this.
This album seeks to portray classic New England and Upstate New York imagery. It showcases the most perfect examples of regional identity, with special attention to structures and landscape.
