Home at last! After a marathon day lasting over 12 hours, Steamtown's CN 3254 eases the NRHS "Pocono Express" consist past the depot at sunset. The excursion to Delaware Water Gap began at around 8AM with a trio of RS-3s leading eastbound and 3254 running ahead light. The steamer joined the consist at "The Gap", but the westbound run was still led by the RS-3s as far as Tobyhanna. There, the diesels were cut off and the big Mike handled the train the rest of the way back to Scranton. The day produced a lot of pretty scenes, with these late evening yard shots being my favorites.
