Remarks & Notes |
The morning coal train on the Deseret Ry. ran a little earlier than usual today. The result of it’s early departure from the plant allowed a shot of its E60 in a full nose lit position. So here it is less than a mile out of the Bonanza Power Plant in eastern Utah heading back east to the Deserado Mine in Colorado. The train is moving slowly here waiting for the last car to clear the unloading loop switch at the plant before accelerating up to track speed. Beautiful clear winter air and no clouds make for a very vivid picture. The plant’s coal handling equipment and coal stockpile are visible in the background. |
