About the only train around, the westbound Pennsylvanian. We could hear him coming for quite a few minutes as the GE hustled it's short consist around Horseshoe Curve and towards us. We didn't realize how much light we lost, and how much fog rolled in, until the headlight foreshadowed Amtrak's arrival at MG. A few seconds later, the evening returned to it's quiet stillness, and we retreated for a few beers at our mountain lodging of choice.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
