The "11:00 AM Munising Switcher" was working the Kimberly-Clark Paper Mill at Munising, MI on June 8, 1983 with RS-3 No. 1604. This piece of railroad, approximately 5 miles long, was isolated from the rest of the railroad. Its only purpose was to serve the Kimberly-Clark mill and at this time the mill was the sole remaining customer. A connection was made with Soo Line at the other end of the line at Munising Junction. The job worked three days a week and the RS-3 was kept in the paper mill when not being used.
