In 1987, the city of Tarpon Springs, Florida celebrated their centennial. CSX had recently received permission to abandon their line from Tarpon Springs to Dunedin, Florida, and as part of the centennial, CSX agreed to run six final trips on the line utilizing two of their heritage units, F3A 116 and FP7A 118. The train ran in a push-pull configuration with seven coaches from the railroad and the Florida Gulf Coast Railroad Museum.
