Of the few opportunities I had this winter to go railfanning, I spent most of that time on the DM&E trying to catch blue and yellow lash ups, or at least a blue and yellow engine on the point. Well, I was happy with several of the pics I got, but they usually had foreign run through power or were mixed with lease units. It's getting more challenging to find consists of pure ICE/DME power. But as I was organizing some photos, I came across this one from a couple summers ago. Here, a northbound manifest follows the Mississippi River through Clinton. The building to the right is the Clinton County Historical Society Museum, and on the left is a mural of the Mississippi. The bridge in the background is the U.S. Hwy. 30 bridge over, you guessed it, the Mississippi.
