Seaboard Air Line 2-8-0 No. 998 was the last of 20 C-120-H Class locomotives built by Burnham, Williams & Co in July, 1904. These small locomotives were never superheated. They had 57" drivers, 21 x 30 inch cylinders, boiler pressure of 200 lbs, and produced a modest 39,458 lbs of tractive effort. SAL 998 was sold to the Macon, Dublin & Savannah Railroad in June 1937. This image from my collection shows SAL 998 at Macon, Georgia on July 16, 1937 shortly after she was sold.
