Sometimes you get screwed, sometimes you get lucky... damn lucky! After leaving Cass Lake in darkness, the train hit several slow orders on the Grand Forks Sub and met one at Wilton. The delays allowed the train to arrive in Ebro as the sun finally swung to the semi-south side of the tracks. Ebro is the only place you can shoot westbounds in the morning and get some decent light. Solid overcast, thick dark clouds kept us in a grim mood chasing the train. We arrived about 30 seconds before the train, and just as the train rumbled into the scene a small sliver of light opened up and lasted just long enough to bag the Ferromex SD70ACe's in perfect light. FXE 4060, FXE 4049, FXE 4066, FXE 4063. I doubt I'll ever have an opportunity to photograph four SD70ACe's like this again!
