Old Santa Fe type signals are soon going to be a thing of the past. The BNSF signal gang is working hard to replace these old search light signal bridges and cantilevers on the Marceline Sub. Here a westbound Z-train is about to blast thru West Medill as the night sky circles around the north star for a 20 minute exposure on a brisk morning.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
