Brunswick, MD 4/19/2012 - It's been a long day at work and a long train ride from Washington, D.C. as these commuters walk towards their cars and the final leg of their travel home. This ritual takes place every day at the Brunswick terminal, but today's westbound passengers were disembarked on the normally eastbound platform on the south side of the yard. Switch and signal trouble had the westbound number one track out of service, so MARC P-877 was routed on the number two track at South WB.
From B&O RDCs to MARC bilevel coaches pulled by electric locomotives and diesels, the Maryland commuting scene has evolved, while trolleys, aka light rail vehicles, are back.
