Photographer Ken Patton takes us to the back roads of New Hampshire where a track removal train is busy ripping up vintage rails. Track lifting had already advanced west of Newport NH yard, hence all runs east from Claremont had to be shove moves. On this morning the crew was kind enough to cut away from their train, to frame #31 in the bridge portal. We all have our crying towels out for this one. This bridge still stands and is the longest covered railroad bridge in the world. It is sometimes referred to as the Pier Bridge or the Chandler's Mill Station
