As the ‘blue hour’ settles in at dusk on the cold winter day of February 15, 1992, a Loram rail grinder slowly works its way west through Pewaukee, Wisconsin, on Soo Line’s former Milwaukee Road main line. Smoke rolls to the south in the stiff northerly wind, and the nice covering of snow on the tracks will surely protect the right-of-way from any errant fire-causing sparks that can cause havoc on a dry summer day.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
