Brunswick, MD 11/11/2012 - A Contrast of Eras: while a string of loaded coal hoppers sits in the Mill Yard with modern CSX emblems, a solid string of 1970's Difco side-dump ballast cars with a variety of CSX's predecessors logos waits on the adjacent track. The ballast cars are CSX W-097 this night, enroute to trackwork along the CSX Baltimore Division, wearing reporting marks from B&O, L&N, SCL, SBD, and CR. Night photo, ISO 250, f/7.1, 8 seconds.
All those shots of interesting railroad details, what you see trackside, up close and personal! Excludes shots going into my other albums: "Engine Details," "Signal Details," and "Switchstand Shots."
