A nostalgic looking General Railway Signal Co. searchlight displays a bright red stop signal at the Longview control point after the passage of a train minutes earlier. While this signal seemed like it would always be here, standardization has finally caught up with it and in the following year would see its replacement with the common “vader hoods” of today. Here is another shot of it in the blue hour before its replacement.
