In a not-so-scenic view from New England Central Railroad's North Walpole interchange tracks, Vermont Rail System's Green Mtn. Railroad Co. Bellows Falls Switcher - DASW - is seen on a rare Saturday afternoon assignment to retrieve 42 cars and CLP GP40-2 that were left on the NECR side due to continued work being done on the VRS interchange track after the six-car derailment earlier this week. VTR GP38-3 206 is the former VTR 3801, ex-NCVA 3801, CBNS 3801 and SOU 2741. On Thursday, VRS sent sister unit, VTR 3808, to Burlington for mechanical work and relettering/logos to become VTR 207. The 3808 was built as Southern Railway GP38 2718 and later became the NS 2718, before being purchased and sent into the LLPX lease fleet as the LLPX 2001. The unit was acquired by RailAmerica and had been assigned to the CBNS as their 3808, before being transferred to the NCVA.
