This is what railfanning at 4:30 AM looks like in rural West Virginia. The group and I were on our way to see the Norfolk Southern Heritage Unit gathering. After coming off the interstate, we chose to shoot a couple of freight trains underneath these Norfolk & Western signals. The lower right includes fellow RP contributors Brad Morocco, Ben Sutton, Ian Hapsias, and Jon Clark.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
