Spokane, Portland and Seattle No. 700 was the star of National Train Day in Portland, Ore. on Saturday, May 11. Hundreds of people lined up throughout the afternoon to see inside the cab of the 1938-built 4-8-4. The engine is maintained by the Pacific Railroad Preservation Association.
An attempt to put the best picture of engines that represent each of America's railroads. When a better picture of an engine/type is found, it will be added.
