Railway Enthusiasts Society run trip to Tokoroa with Ja 1240 seen rounding the curve after crossing the Waikato River at Ngaruawahia. At Hamilton the train takes the ECMT line to Tauranga, crossing the Waikato again.
Railway Enthusiasts Society has operated rail excursions around NZ since 1958, some steam hauled using rolling stock from Glenbrook Vintage Railway which it established in 1970's near Auckland. See www.railfan.org.nz
