Visiting the Glenbrook Vintage Railway from the Museum of Transport and Technology, L 507 and Y542 on a mixed train make a run-by near Victoria Avenue. The lead tank engine was built in 1877 and Y 542 was built by Hunslet in 1923.
Railway Enthusiasts Society has operated rail excursions around NZ since 1958, some steam hauled using rolling stock from Glenbrook Vintage Railway which it established in 1970's near Auckland. See www.railfan.org.nz
