The ore loads from Wawa lean into a curve just south of Searchmont near sunset. Getting a shot with the whole train in sight on the former ACR was always a challenge due to the numerous curves. This job is powered by WC 6560, ATSF 5972, WC 6629, 1502, 6004 with 53 cars. The area the ACR traversed was rugged in the extreme and this job is about to put all 15,300hp to use as it attacks Northland Hill. On occasion the ore train or freights could be shot in the daylight on the south end of the former ACR after the southbound passenger trains had cleared, but it wasn't a common occurrence and generally could only be done on the long days of summer.
