NS 9723 rolls engine lite eastbound on the former N&W Cincinnati District as local freight T51, splitting the mothballed N&W CPL signals at South Milford. T51 is the sole remaining train serving the Cincinnati District, which is railbanked east of Peebles, Ohio to Portsmouth. Images like this would shortly become priceless, because it was announced a few days later that a new Frontier Rail shortline known as the Cincinnati East Terminal (CCET) would be taking over this operation via lease by the end of April 2014.
