606 on 129 at MP 29
Amtrak 606 made its first revenue run on the Northeast Corridor on this day. It was assigned to the usual pair of trains for such an occasion, 184 and 129, which allows for a same-day round trip between Washington, D.C. and New York City. As of this date, ACS-64s are not yet assigned to through Washington-Boston service due to software issues. The weather amazingly cooperated for this shot, as it was a mostly cloudy afternoon. The sun managed to peek out long enough for 606 to pass, and it disappeared behind a wall of clouds almost immediately afterwards.
