Cumbre in the evening. EMD GR12U #1405, Clyde GL22C #1454 and EMD GR12U #1404 are hauling a fully loaded sulphuric acid train up western side of the Cumbre line. The acid is used in the big copper mines along the line to extract the Gold of Chile - Copper - out of the ore.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
