So far this summer the Anchorage area is off to a wet start with plenty of rain and more in the forecast. So, in searching the archives I found this shot of a southbound coal train at Bird Point on what looks to have been a glorious spring morning. Unfortunately for me it looks like I have a few more nights of looking through the archives.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
