The Southern California Chapter of the Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society, also know as Railgiants Train Museum, held their second annual night photo shoot on August 2, 2014 at their museum site located on the Pomona Fairgrounds in Pomona California. This time the photographers attention was set on the museums display of Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway's 3450 4-6-4 "Hudson" type steam locomotives built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1927. Lurking in the background of this shot is the RL&H's Southern Pacific Railroad's 5021 steam locomotive built in 1926 by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) at their Schenectady, New York, shops. It is the only member of this class of SP locomotives to be preserved, and it is one of only four 3-cylinder locomotives preserved in North America, two of which reside at the R&LHS museum.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
