BL2 Revenue Freight. The first loaded hopper train to run on the former D&H Adirondack Branch since November 18, 1989 rolls SB over the Sacandaga River on October 30, 2014, almost 25 years after the last hopper cars of ilmenite rolled out of North Creek. The former Bangor & Aroostook BL2, built in 1949, is still working hard at 65 years old as it hauls 10 hopper loads of stone for interchange with CP at Saratoga.
This gallery contains photos of equipment and properties that became, were and used to be part of the Delaware & Hudson Railway. This gallery also contains photos of equipment paying tribute to the D&H or its predecessors.
An assortment of photos of the distinctly unique (and 'cute') little locomotive EMD ever built, the BL2! I understand it also makes a tasty sandwich..Oh, that's a BLT! (When a new BL2 photo is "ordered", it will be served fresh!)
