The summer of 1994 found me in Kansas City for an internship with a flight school at Kansas City Downtown airport. This was a great time to be in the area, as several Class 1s were still around before falling to "merger mania." SP was on its last legs in bad financial shape, but new power started showing up, and I was a happy photographer. The yard at Herrington pumped out a flood of eastbounds this day, but this was the only one with new power.
