Remarks & Notes |
Storming Archer Hill in a March snowstorm about to become a blizzard, U50 32 and a pair of GP30B’s head an extra out of Cheyenne for North Platte. Less than a year old in 1964, all three engines nevertheless represent motive-power dead-ends. Union Pacific will invest in one more round of double-engine GE's before losing enthusiasm; and the cabless B’s will not be repeated. |
