Possibly the shortest chapter in Grafton, WV's railroad history is Watco's Appalachian & Ohio RR, which lasted barely over a year after a lease from CSX. The railroad used worn out ex UP/MP SD50s to power its trains, which were absolute junk per crew accounts. Only folks deep within the walls of CSX's headquarters will likely know the deepest details of Watco stepping away from this lease and CSX-affiliated Four Rivers Transportation taking over, but this is an operation I am glad I photographed.
