Early morning after a night of ice fog brings a very northern phenomenon. Ice freezes on surfaces, ice on ice, leaving the world even more white than after the stickiest snowfall. This vanishes quickly once the sun emerges or the wind picks up, as snow drops off the trees creating the illusion of a snowstorm even with clear skies.
These bridges span two channels of the Bow River, which the Laggan subdivision follows to Lake Louise before going over Kicking Horse Pass into British Columbia.
