The winter of 2015 has not been kind to the Northeast Corridor, with record-setting snowfall in New England and a steady stream of smaller storms effecting the mid-section of the NEC. This day was no exception as an overnight storm had deposited 2-4" of new snow on the region. This Acela consist, which originated in Boston, is running several hours late and the crew reported operating with only "one half of a power car" in service upon leaving Metropark Station. There are two power cars in each Acela consist, so this train undoubtedly lost time during the remainder of its journey to Washington, DC.
