The signal at Mile 169.1 for the Central Railroad of New Jersey's Back Track would've been lit to protect the yard limits in Ashley, PA. Now the signal sits untouched and unlit, being the only proof that the CNJ Back Track once ran through the area. In the coming months and warmer weather, I am going to be walking the CNJ, trying to find any historical objects along the line from Ashley to Laurel Run.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
