"Running in a winter wonderland!" Not everyone's idea of New York City's subway, here you see a R-188 MU set bounding through the snow in bucolic surroundings. The number 5 line, while going through the lower Bronx, twists and turns until reaching the ROW of the former New York, Westchester & Boston. That failed railway was built the highest standards possible. Thus its route is twice as wide as a normal New York subway line while being straight and level as an arrow all the way to it's terminus.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
