Sparkill Wye Power for Conrail NB-51 runs around the Sparkill Wye with their N8B caboose in tow. The track immediately behind the GP38 was the single Sparkill Yard track. The two tracks beyond this are the Northern Running Track and a runaround. As of this date only one active customer remained on the north end of the Northern Branch, Minigrip in Orangeburg. Most likely this crew was preparing for the shove to Orangeburg. Within four years this portion of the former Erie Northern Branch would be out of service. Today, nothing railroad-related remains of this scene. The right-of-way is intact as a rail-trail, including the wye, Piermont Industrial and the Northern.
